Mysterious West Bank Shootings: Random Murders Or Assassinations?

The occupied West Bank is run like a ghetto prison, identical to the besieged Gaza Strip excluding the all-out Israeli siege. It is governed by the dictator-like regime of ‘President’ of the Palestinian Authority (PA) Mahmoud Abbas, whose presidency ended in January 2009 (1), and ‘Prime Minister’ Salam Fayyad, who is unelected and totally backed by the Zionist-occupied governments of the Western world for his mythical (as in myth, for it doesn’t exist) ‘state building,’ a farcical sideshow which has cloaked his theft of Palestine’s wealth and natural resources by establishing neoliberal economics and corporate privatization through a firm of wealthy House Arabs known as PADICO (2).

Because of these criminal policies, one out of every four Palestinians in the occupied West Bank is out of work, and the population is losing nearly 3% off of its wages every year (3). And in Area C of the West Bank, which represents 60% of the territory and is under direct Zionist military control, the poverty is even worse than occupied Gaza (4). This atmosphere of degradation and depravation is reinforced through sustained collaboration known as ‘security coordination’ between the PA’s militias and the Zionist entity’s occupation military. This collaboration includes torturing anyone who rebels against the authoritarianism of the Abbas-Fayyad regime, carrying out targeted killings of Resistance members, murdering civilians to generate widespread fear and subservience to the quasi-dictatorship and working closely with foreign intelligence agencies like MI-6 (5).

There is nothing filthier, nothing more demeaning, nothing more detrimental to one’s dignity than working against one’s own people for the benefit of the enemy. And the Palestinian Authority represents the very essence of these three qualities of sedition.

It is this sedition that was on full display on April 4th, nine years to the day of the beginnings of the horrific, inhuman Jenin Refugee Camp massacre carried out by the Zionist entity over a period of 13 days. Internationally renowned activist, actor and director Juliano Mer-Khamis was gunned down in front of his wife and 10-month old son right outside of his Freedom Theater in occupied Jenin. The Zionist media, typically and vilely, reported the killing as the work of ‘masked Palestinian militants.’ The PA began an ‘investigation’ of the brutal murder and even apprehended a suspect, Mujahed Qaniri. Qaniri however, vehemently contended the allegation and denied any involvement in the heinous act. He was released soon after his detention once a DNA test vindicated him and affirmed his contention (6).

No lengthy duration was needed for the revelations to emerge. The murderers of Juliano were not ‘masked Palestinian militants’ but masked Israeli soldiers, the elite Mistaravim unit known as the Duvdevan. Juliano had been murdered by Duvdevan in a high-level intelligence operation, intimately attached to a greater, global intelligence agenda of the Zionist entity. The PA cleaned up the usurping regime’s mess by staging a false investigation and deposing of all of the evidence. To their praiseworthy and honorable credit, many of those closest to Juliano and several activist committees slammed Zionism as the culprit behind the murder (7).

Though the Abbas-Fayyad security apparatus eradicated much of the evidence of Israeli military intelligence plotting, it hasn’t been able to eradicate the voices of the people; Juliano’s loved ones, comrades, proteges and colleagues throughout the occupied West Bank aren’t simply demanding that the killers be brought to justice, they are petitioning, protesting and calling for real protection of the Freedom Theater and Juliano’s legacy (8).

The assassination of Juliano Mer-Khamis, the incessant, booming outcries for justice after his passing and the PA’s ongoing cleanup operation at the Zionist entity’s behest are at the core of the bizarre happenings in the West Bank in the month of May. On May 6th, 30-year old Muhammad Yahya Khawaldah was shot to death in the refugee camp of al-Jalazun, not too far from Ramallah. Two weeks later, 32-year-old Omar Hussein Abu Halou was shot to death in occupied Nablus. On May 28th, 52-year old Ramadan Omar Salhab was shot three times and succumbed to his wounds in occupied Jericho.

To this date, there still has not been a single suspect detained in any case. Why? Because in every instance, the murderers were masked. This, all by its lonesome, is enough to raise eyebrows in regards to the mysterious shootings. However, there is something else, something ominous that invalidates the appearance of randomness and certainly gives validation to the appearance of assassination. All three of these Palestinian men, had previously worked for Israeli intelligence as full-blown spies or assets (9). The locations of their residences (and their assassinations), Nablus, Ramallah and Jericho, were all frequented by Juliano Mer-Khamis in his humanitarian work as an activist, and were also sights of commemoration after he was gunned down in Jenin.

It appears, that these men were intelligence assets in the joint operation between Israeli occupation forces’ Duvdevan unit and the Palestinian Authority’s security forces to assassinate Juliano Mer-Khamis. It appears, that these men provided vital reconnaissance to Duvdevan to keep tabs on Juliano Mer-Khamis and document the patterns of his whereabouts in the occupied West Bank, therefore ensuring a ‘successful’ operation through the utilization of the element of surprise. Hence, why Juliano Mer-Khamis was gunned down in a moment, in a place he felt most secure: in front of the Freedom Theater, with his wife and child.

It appears, that these men then spoonfed a false suspect to the PA to seal the deal on the cover up. When the suspect fizzled out however, the Zionist masters of the collaborationist PA were not pleased. And it would appear, that out of this displeasure, that these men were eliminated by Duvdevan, which has dominion over the West Bank, to prevent them from revealing the operation to any institution of media and to remind them, that their services were no longer needed. The circumstantial evidence is powerful. The Israeli elephant in the room is the manner in which these men were killed: exactly like Juliano Mer-Khamis was killed by the Duvdevan unit.

The Zionist entity has locked up the daughter of the former Deputy Head of Mossad for refusing to serve in IOF (10). The Zionist entity routinely tear gases and brutalizes Israeli solidarity activists at weekly protests in the occupied Palestinian village of Nabi Saleh (11). The Zionist entity’s Mossad assassinated British media tycoon, Zionist extremist, Katsa (Mossad officer) and major asset to the usurping Israeli regime Robert Maxwell in the Canary Islands for his attempts at extorting and blackmailing the agency (12).

And the Zionist entity’s Shin Bet assassinated Israeli Prime Minister (and Zionist terrorist who served in the Palmach and Haganah) Yitzhak Rabin in one of its most daring operations, all for the sake of furthering the expansionist agenda and confiscation of Palestinian land (13). If Israel would kill ‘its own’ for going against its agenda, or to further its agenda, it would be naive, childish and asinine to think that it wouldn’t do the same to Palestinian collaborators.

What is most tragic of all regarding the deaths of these Arab assets of Zionism, is that they most likely held the keys to the doors which would unlock the inner secrets of Juliano Mer-Khamis’s assassination. Though it is known that the IOF elite Duvdevan death squad killed Juliano and why it pulled the trigger, some integral questions remain: when was the plot hatched? Who gave the direct order? Are there hits already in place for Juliano’s family, as there are with Mossad-abducted Gaza engineer Dirar Abu Sisi (14)? Unfortunately, the answers to these inquires, and many more, died with Muhammad Yahya Khawaldah, Omar Hussein Abu Halou and Ramadan Omar Salhab.

A Final Comment: Activists Beware of ‘Reconciliation’

Juliano Mer-Khamis was not the first activist to be murdered (or severely wounded) by the Zionist entity with Abbas-Fayyad complicity/direct assistance in the occupied West Bank and sadly, he will not be the last. Iain John Hook, Jawaher Abu Rahmah, Brian Avery, Bassem Abu Rahmah, Tristan Anderson and Emily Henochowicz were brutalized or killed before Juliano (15), and the memory of these brave souls serves as an everyday reminder to what the unity between occupier and collaborator brings forth.

The recent ‘reconciliation’ deal processed by the highest ranking officials from the Fatah-controlled PA and Hamas has been revealed not only as a sham due to the continuance of Israel-PA ‘security coordination’, but as a defeat of Hamas at the hands of the Zionist entity after multiple assaults on the illegally besieged Gaza Strip (16). Hamas officials have been uncharacteristically quiet about the deal, but it is understandable. Just prior to Operation Cast Lead, Hamas leader Khaled Mish’al was calling Mahmoud Abbas an ‘illegal president;’ he called the PA an organization that ‘stifles Resistance;’ he declared that the PA ‘provides free services to the Israelis’ and he demanded prosecution for its officials (17). Right on all counts. But now, Mish’al and Abbas are behaving like long lost brothers and it is nothing short of disgraceful.

Wafsi Qabha on the other hand, Gaza political official and former Minister of Detainees, has had the courage to speak out against the fraudulent reconciliation deal. He’s stated with no qualms, ‘there are no real indications of reconciliation in the occupied West Bank.’ Qabha continued, ‘PA security forces are still interrogating Hamas supporters and members.’ Qabha also noted, that despite (hollow) promises from the PA, at least 35 Hamas officials and fighters remain imprisoned in the torturous dungeons of Fatah (18).

The EU-US-backed PA considers anyone that stands against its criminal rule a ‘Hamas supporter,’ including political analysts, religious figures, civilians and activists. This totalitarian approach was on perfect display for Nakba Day 2011, as Fatah militias violently dispersed a demonstration in al-Zawia Square of occupied al-Khalil. Activists and students, including women, were severely beaten and cameras and phones were confiscated to prevent any reporting of the collaborationist barbarity (19).

The Zionist entity’s new clandestine war on Palestine (Operation Phantasmagoria) has not only been initiated to crush indigenous Resistance, deepen its foothold through ethnic cleansing and occupation and whitewash all of its crimes in the eyes of the war criminal-infested ‘international community,’ but to disrupt the international solidarity network that is so dedicated to Palestinian liberation and self-determination. The Zionist entity is aiming to create the kind of atmosphere, where activists will not only feel threatened by the Israeli occupation, but Palestinians themselves and their communities via the brutality of Zionism’s donkeys and lapdogs, the PA, being portrayed as representative of the people. Setting aside the PA’s collaborator identity, this is immersed in baselessness and coated with racism, xenophobia and orientalism. Nobody in possession of a mildly sound, thinking mind is falling for this hasbara. But activists beware, you are being targeted. Again. Now, more than ever.

Ofergate: The Latest Zionist Propaganda Blitz Against Iran

The Islamic Republic

From the moment that the Islamic Revolution of Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini and tens of millions of Iranians toppled the Israeli-US-UK-backed Shah and defeated the CIA’s counterrevolution, there has been a sustained campaign of violence, propaganda and subversion against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This campaign, naturally, has been led by the Zionist entity with crucial support being provided by America, Britain and a handful of strategically installed Arab dictators.

It began on September 22, 1980 when Saddam Hussein invaded Iran at the behest of the Zionist Power Configuration in Washington, initiating the genocidal Iran-Iraq War. Over one million Iranians were slaughtered and more than 400,000 Iraqis were murdered in the Western-backed war of aggression on the revolutionary Iranian nation. The war was designed by an Israeli-American-Saudi-Kuwaiti axis, in an attempt to depict Persian Iran as the enemy of the Arabs, protect US-Zionist oil interests (1), crush the Islamic Revolution and of course, to replant a Shah-like dictator friendly to Zionism and the West. Saddam was bankrolled by the House of Saud to the tune of half a billion dollars during the war and received critical intelligence support as well as assistance in piloting missiles against Iranian targets from the usurping Israeli entity’s Mossad (2).

As the war dragged on and the civilian body count continued to rise, the Zionist media introduced its most prolific lie: the story of Israel providing advisors for and selling weapons to Iran during its war with Iraq in the amount of $500 million. The Islamic Revolution repeatedly and vehemently denied the story as Zionist propaganda aimed at distorting Iran’s image in the Arab world and misdirecting Arabs from absorbing the inspiration of the Revolution (3).

The only sources for this ridiculous, slanderous, concocted $500 million figure: the UK newspaper ‘The Observer,’ a subsidiary of the Zionist-owned Guardian, TIME Magazine, an infamous, long-standing asset of the Zionist Power Configuration’s propaganda machine, Ronen Bergman, a prominent Israeli journalist with deep ties to the Zionist intelligence establishment and who composed an entire book labeling Iran as the ‘world’s most dangerous terrorist power,’ bashing its people, its Revolution and its peaceful nuclear program (4) and the Jaffe Center For Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University, an institute that has been run by Aman, Israel’s military intelligence agency, since its opening (5). Zionist fingerprints everywhere; the evidence of falsehood regarding this weapons deal is thoroughly overwhelming.

In reality, the Israeli (and American) weapons used by the Islamic Revolution in its struggle against Saudi-US-Mossad-backed Iraq had been delivered to the Shah in his multiple arms purchases from the West long before 1979 (6). In reality, the Zionist entity continued its clandestine support for Saddam Hussein after the war that devastated Iran and Iraq both and conducted multiple attempts to assassinate Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini (7).

In reality, the Ayatollah had been the only Muslim leader in his time (excluding the martyred revolutionary Iraqi leader Abdul Karim Qassem) to speak against the Zionist colonization project in Palestine and the only Muslim leader to stand up to the Zionist-occupied American government’s hegemony in the region. It was Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini who supported Resistance throughout the region and it was the Ayatollah, who started the tradition of ‘Al-Quds Day,’ to raise global awareness for the Palestinian struggle and demand the unequivocal liberation of the holy land from Zionism, something that he considered a top priority (8).

Immediately following the triumph in 1979, throughout the Iran-Iraq war and after its end, all the way until now in the present day, the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) organization that once fought alongside the Islamic Revolution has waged bloody war against it after Ayatollah Khomeini expelled its leadership for sedition. It fought with Saddam Hussein from its Camp Ashraf base in northern Iraq, which it set up under American and Israeli protection. And since 2002, it has worked intimately with Mossad and the Zionist Project for a New American Century to destabilize Iran’s peaceful nuclear energy program (9). Meanwhile, its terrorism against the Islamic Republic’s civilian infrastructure has been brutal. Since the fall of the Shah, MEK has murdered at least 16,043 Iranians (10).  

The most notorious selection of Zionism’s propaganda against Iran in recent years is the 2009 Iranian presidential elections, without question. Despite massively-adored nationalist-populist incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad winning by landslide proportions (63.3% or 24.5 million votes) over his Western-backed opponent Hossein Mousavi, the Zionist media unleashed an onslaught of reports that the elections were stolen, with absolutely, positively no evidence. The entire leadership of the vastly powerful Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish American Organizations, the Zionist entity’s Foreign Ministry and the Zionist-owned pro-Israel institutions of CNN and the New York Times demanded even harsher sanctions against the Islamic Republic in the wake of the elections (11).

Meanwhile, the streets of Tehran were on fire as Mousavi and his ‘Green Movement’ followers staged violent, destructive demonstrations in protest of Ahmadinejad’s victory, much to the delight of the neo-conservative, Israel-firster cabal that controls America’s foreign policy. However, it didn’t take long for the truth to emerge from the shadows. The Green Movement was part of a Bush-era destabilization plot against the Islamic Revolution worth $400 million (12), and it was being fully directed by the CIA and the Zionist-founded, Zionist-run National Endowment for Democracy (13).

There of course, are the ever-present criminal sanctions that have been escalated year after year since the fall of the Shah. The most detrimental piece of sanctioning legislation to hit the Islamic Republic is the AIPAC-backed ‘Iran-Libya Sanctions Act’ of 1996. It has utterly crippled Iran’s aviation industry and due to the Persian nation’s inability to import the proper parts for its airplanes, thousands have died in plane crashes since the 1996 act’s implementation in the geopolitical arena. The sanctions have turned Iran’s commercial airliner fleet into the pinnacle of insecurity (14).

But the Zionist’s entity’s wars, assassination attempts and sanctions have not broken the will of the Revolution. The aggression has not brought the Revolution to its knees, the Revolution has rejected the concept of groveling to Zionism as the Shah did so faithfully. Though mass murdering war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu has disturbingly labeled Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the successor of Ayatollah Khomeini, the ‘greatest threat to world peace (15),’ the Zionist entity has changed its tactics over the last 18 months, reverting to espionage and the hasbara blitzkrieg of the 1980s to smear Iran in the eyes of the Muslim/Arab world.

The Stuxnet Virus, the Israeli-created malicious program that is now wreaking havoc all over the world (16), was first unleashed on Iran in an American-Israeli plot that has significantly damaged Iran’s industrial sectors in the range of hundreds of millions of dollars and brought its peaceful nuclear energy program, which it was developing as an alternative to the oil-dominated energy market, to a screeching halt (17).

Iran was heavily targeted by the ‘whistleblower’ group known as Wikileaks, which stunk of COINTELPRO from the moment that it emerged in the Zionist media and has now been fully debunked as a CIA-Mossad intelligence operation (18). Wikileaks released scores of ‘secret documents’ that absolved Israel of any malice in occupied Iraq, instead blaming everything on Iran (19), a lie of epic dimensions repeated often by every Zionist think tank in the US and UK. Wikileaks, led by Julian Assange, an asset of Zionist media giant and warmonger Rupert Murdoch and a darling of the godfathers of the illegitimate Israeli state, the Rothschilds (20), has been lambasted by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a ‘psychological warfare operation (21).’

Recent endeavors of the Zionist media include ‘revelations’ about Ahmadinejad’s Jewish roots and ‘shocking discoveries’ of the six-pointed Israeli star engraved in a building in the main square of Tehran. Needless to say, both stories are pathetically false, with the latter being the work of Zionist-owned Orwellian internet behemoth, Google, and were released to sow discord, unrest and chaos within the Islamic Republic (22).

None of Zionism’s manipulations and falsehoods however, could even remotely compare to what its media released to the detriment of Iran on May 24th, 2011.

Hasbara Galore: Israel-Iran Trade and the Ofer Brothers

The story surfaced and immediately sent ripples throughout the globe. The United States announced new sanctions against seven companies for business transactions processed with the Islamic Republic of Iran. One firm from Monaco, one from Venezuela (a ‘hostile environment’ as far as the US-Israel nexus is concerned), another from Singapore, another from the UAE, two connected to Iran itself and one... from the Zionist entity (23). The idea that an Israeli company was doing business with its bitter, despised enemy, Iran, was a hard enough pill to swallow. But this was no ordinary firm. This firm was owned by the Ofer Brothers Group, as in the brotherly duo of Sammy and Yuli Ofer, reportedly known to be the Zionist entity’s wealthiest men (24). This added another layer of strange to the story.

The snake of hasbara reared its ugly head in the blink of an eye, and a torrential downpour of bizarre ‘breaking news’ was at every corner of the Zionist entity’s newspapers. The reports started coming in at lightning speed, and what started as ‘Ofergate’ evolved into a mutated media monster about actual trade relations between Iran and Tel Aviv: 13 ships owned by the Ofer Brothers had docked in the Islamic Republic over the course of a decade, and a relationship was established with the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (25), 200 Zionist companies had financial links to the Islamic Revolution’s energy sector (26), hundreds of Israeli firms (and American firms also) conducting business with Iran via sub-companies (27), and the most outlandish of all, that Iran trades marble, cashews and pistachios with the Zionist entity for Israeli organic fertilizers, pierced irrigation pipes, hormone-boosting milk products and seeds and that an Iranian Agriculture Ministry official traveled to Tel Aviv to thank it for the business (28). Outrageous. Undeniably outrageous.

The origins of this hasbara will be dealt with in a moment. The first question is, why would the American government, which is dominated and controlled by Zionists of every known type, from WINEP to AIPAC, ZOA to AJC, Brookings to CFR, release information about an Israeli company doing business with Iran?

The first answer is simple. The American government wouldn’t unless it was told to do so by its Zionist puppetmasters. The second question is in two parts: why would the Zionist Power Configuration want such information released? And, wouldn’t this information be excruciatingly damaging to the usurping regime’s efforts to force military action against Iran? The answer to the second part is also a simple one: no, absolutely not, because it is an indisputable fact that Zionists control the media and a scandal of this magnitude can be buried just as quickly as it is ‘excavated.’ Additionally, Zionism’s subversive activities against the Islamic Revolution haven’t been deterred by this story in the slightest, nor has its power over Western governments been diminished. The answer to the first part has been summed up perfectly and succinctly by Chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM), Mohammad Nahavandian:

“News about activities of Zionist firms in Iran is a new game started in reaction to the willingness of certain countries to establish economic ties with Iran. Several countries have expressed their willingness to increase economic interactions with Iran following the global economic crisis. They cannot deprive themselves from the growing economy in Iran. In addition to a legal ban, Iran regards Zionist firms and their policy makers as the main factors behind economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic and refrains from making any deal with them (29).”

It is no secret that Iran has taken a proactive approach in the MENA region and established solid financial and diplomatic ties with the majority of the MENA nations, including those experiencing upheaval. The Islamic Revolution is treading in territory that the Zionist entity allows nothing and noone to tread in: the global commerce system. MENA, where Iran, an Islamic regional power, has a vested interest in, is being prepped for destablization and mass neoliberalism via the ultra-powerful supranational financial institutions known as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development {EBRD} and the European Investment Bank {EIB} (30). To keep Iran far away from its EBRD and EIB projects, Zionism released these allegations through its media to once again drive daggers into Iran’s reputation.

As was the case with the venomous Iran-Israel weapons deal propaganda during the Iran-Iraq war, only with more prevalence here, all sources for ‘Ofergate’ originate from the Zionist entity: Yossi Melman, well-known columnist for Haaretz with abyssal ties to Shin Bet, IOF, Mossad and Aman; Tel Aviv University and Haifa University, both schools are entrenched in Israel’s military society, with each of them graduating their fair share of Knesset members, Prime Ministers, Mossad officials and IOF officers; and the Israeli-Arab Friendship Association, a capitalist, neoliberal think tank-type organization that whitewashes occupation and Palestinian suffering in the pursuit of profit. Liars, propagandists, exploiters, hasbara fellows, warmongers and more liars. It is also of grave importance to note that the Israeli government and Shin Bet rule the media sphere with an iron fist, issuing gag orders on ‘national security’ matters and revoking publishing licenses when need be (31). If the Zionist leadership didn’t want the aforementioned band of liars to publish this information, it wouldn’t have been published. Period.           

While it is clear that the media’s coverage of ‘Ofergate’ is a hasbara operation of the highest degree, part of a greater demonization and isolation agenda that Israel and its Western stooges have pursued against Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, there is still another aspect to it; a darker aspect. An intelligence aspect. An aspect highly worthy of comment due to the implications it has for the future of Iran.

The Mossad Angle: All-Out Infiltration

The immense wealth of the Israeli Ofer Brothers is by no means the most troubling point of ‘Ofergate.’ What is most troubling is what lurks beneath the Ofer Group exterior. It is more than ‘just’ a multi-billion dollar global holdings firm intricately interconnected with various banks, chemical companies and oil refineries. It is the owner of Zim Integrated Shipping Services (32), a firm connected to Mossad’s false flag attack on 9/11. One week before the Towers were brought down in a controlled demolition, Zim, which was 50% owned by the illegitimate state of Israel at the time, paid $50,000.00 to break its lease with no explanation as to why (33). Due to Zionist war criminal and author of the Patriot Act Michael Chertoff’s control of the Justice Department before, during and after 9/11, Zim was never investigated (34), nor was the Ofer Group for that matter. 

The Ofer Group hasn’t just done favors for the Zionist intelligence-defense establishment in the past, it is the Zionist intelligence-defense establishment; forever at the service of the Israeli state, a major asset for all Zionist apparatuses. In the highest ranking corporate positions of the Ofer Group, there are senior officers of Mossad and IOF (35). This information is critical to the greater picture.

The day that the Zionist media’s psychological warfare began, Deputy Managing Director of Iran’s Port and Maritime Organization Mohsen Sadeqifar rejected all of the Israeli entity’s claims, stating “Ships belonging to shipping lines of the United States and particularly the Zionist regime have never entered Iranian ports during recent years. Iran's Commerce Ministry or the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration have issued no license for any US or Israeli ship to dock in Iranian ports (36).” There is no reason to doubt what the Port and Maritime official states; logically, it checks out. The Islamic Republic of Iran represents Resistance to Zionism and its American marionettes, it would never, ever grant shipping licenses to what the Iranian leadership commonly refers to as ‘arrogant powers.’ At least... not knowingly.

The Mossad-Aman-IOF-linked Ofer brothers have categorically denied that they sold ships to the Islamic Republic (37). Additionally, ex-Mossad director, war criminal and murderer Meir Dagan seemed nervous in downplaying ‘Ofergate,’ by saying nonchalantly that the media was ‘blowing it out of proportion’ but sternly refusing to elaborate further (38). This grants great credence to what was discussed in the previous section: the Israel-Iran ‘trade’ story is sheer concoction. And it is now known that this concoction is serving as a deflection. It is a cover-up. An operation within an operation. Its first purpose: smear Iran, cripple its financial ties abroad. Its second purpose: damage control for the Zionist entity’s infiltration of the Iranian nation.

As is the case in occupied Iraq, where at least 70 Zionist companies that work directly with Mossad are profiting off of Iraqi suffering under Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish and English names (39), it is now confirmed that the Ofer Group’s ships, in classic Mossad fashion, were also sailing into Iranian waters under foreign flags to cloak their identity (40). Hence, why the Islamic Revolution may have granted licenses to an Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish or English shipping company that was actually an espionage front for the Zionist entity. There is also the strong possibility, that no licenses were granted at all, and the Ofer Group spy ships penetrated Iran’s sovereignty in a typical display of Zionist intransigence.

Aboard these spy ships were numerous Mossad agents, including agents involved in the assassination of Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai (41), Black Hawk helicopters and hidden Israeli commandos to pilot the copters for reconnaissance missions against Iran (42). This would explain how the usurping Israeli entity managed to insert its agents within the fabric of the upper echelons of the Iranian defense sector to carry out assassinations of several nuclear scientists as well as the planting of the Stuxnet virus.

This operation is one of utmost severity. Shortly after ‘Ofergate’ broke out, the racist Zionist institution known as the Knesset convened for an investigation into the matter. The meeting orchestrated by the Knesset Economics Committee, led by Likudnik Carmel Shama-Hacohen, came to an abrupt halt in the beginning of the proceedings when Shama-Hacohen was passed a mysterious note seemingly requesting the shutdown of the investigation. It was unprecedented in the history of the Knesset (43).

The author of the note was none other than the Zionist fascist Yaakov Amidror, Netanyahu’s current national security advisor, former head of the IOF’s military colleges, former Aman agent, and stunningly, former board member of the Israel Corporation, Zim Integrated Shipping Services and many of its subsidiaries, all of which are owned by the Ofer family (44). Amidror was shutting down unnecessary political meddling in a vast intelligence operation designed to breach every part of Iranian society and take down the Islamic Revolution from within, piece by piece, facilitating the easiness of a military strike.

Iran and its righteous, steadfast people must remain more vigilant and more aware than ever. The Mossad assets of ‘Ofergate’ are still at large and they must be expelled, captured or executed, whichever comes first, if the Islamic Revolution and its Resistance wish to advance into the realm of a peaceful future.

Conclusion: The ‘Great Persian Conspiracy’

At the very core of ‘Ofergate’ and all of the Zionist entity’s 30-year aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran is the orientalist-planted idea of a ‘great Persian conspiracy.’ It is the historical orientalist-colonialist concept of ‘the other,’ that which is ‘different’ is that which is dangerous. The basis: Persian Iran, predominantly comprised of Muslims from the Shia school of thought, seeks imperial dominion over all of the Arab world which is predominantly comprised of Muslims from the Sunni school of thought.

It is the narrative that the Gulf States used in collusion with the US and the Zionist entity against Iran in the Iran-Iraq war. It is a narrative with no intelligent basis. It is a narrative that is lacking, entirely, in evidence. It is a narrative of lunacy. And it is a narrative that has been rejected by the people of the Arab world. 90% of the Arab populace supports Iran, its peaceful nuclear program and its stance on the liberation of Palestine. 88% of the Arab populace views Israel as the region’s greatest threat and 77% of the Arab populace views the US as the next greatest threat (45). The opinions of dictators, monarchs and autocrats, which were forged by their Western controllers to begin with, have been drowned out by the insight and intelligence of the Arab people.

There are no Iranian bases scattered throughout MENA. There is no Iranian depleted uranium; no Iranian white phosphorus. There are no Iranian banks seeking to financially demolish societies through neoliberalism. There are no Iranian occupations. There is no genocide at the hands of Iran. There is no Iranian lobby. There is no Iranian monopoly over the world’s media.

On the other hand, the US is illegally occupying Iraq, and, though it isn’t part of MENA, Afghanistan also. Over 3 million civilians have died in these genocidal endeavors. The US has its troops stationed on giant, illegal military bases throughout the majority of the Arab world, most prominently Qatar and Bahrain, home of the US 5th Fleet, where a peaceful protest movement is being systematically brutalized through murder, torture, kidnappings and military trials at the hands of the monstrous Khalifa family and its GCC allies (46). The US, UK and France are leading a criminal bombing campaign in Libya. And all of this Euro-American criminal activity, is at the behest of the Zionist entity, its neoconservative/neoliberal agents placed within the highest places of government, its immensely influential lobbies and its media. The Zionist entity itself criminally occupies Palestine, parts of Syria, parts of Lebanon and has consistently sought an expansionist agenda since its illegal creation 63 years ago.

No nation has suffered from this expansionist agenda (and the Shia vs. Sunni myth) more than occupied Iraq, which has been destroyed beyond recognition by the Zionist entity’s elite intelligence operation known as ‘Fission Field Warfare (47).’ Despite the Zionist-induced carnage, the Sunni and Shia of Iraq have rejected sectarianism, instead standing together from the onset of the occupation to fight and expose it and those who would benefit from it, i.e. Zionism and its allies (48). It is by no means coincidental, that one of the leading advocates for the invasion of Iraq, who spread the most consequential lies (including sectarianism) for the furtherance of the Zionist agenda, the former Israeli occupation soldier, columnist for The Atlantic and hasbara fellow Jeffrey Goldberg (49), is now attempting to spread the very same lies to trigger events that would lead to balkanizing Iran. And for whose benefit? For Israel of course, and all of its slavish Arab dictatorships (50).

The Zionist entity longs for a military confrontation with Iran, whether directly like Lebanon or by proxy like Iraq. The Zionist entity will not be content until Iran, and its closest Arab ally, Syria, are ‘dealt with’ like Libya is being ‘dealt with,’ according to genocidal, xenophobic Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman (51). Dealing with Iran the ‘Libya way,’ would mean incessant ‘shock and awe’ bombardments carried out against Tehran’s civilian population with depleted uranium, white phosphorus, smart bombs and helicopter gunships on a nightly basis, as Tripoli is experiencing now (52). The Israeli regime has already drawn up plans to strike 3,100 targets in the Iranian cities of Isfahan, which has a population of over 1.5 million, and Natanz (53).

Meanwhile, the subversion continues. As if being a target of the Zionist entity’s Wikileaks operation wasn’t enough, Iran is now under cyber attack from a group called Anonymous, a network of ‘hacktivists’ who would like the world to believe they’re fighting for truth, justice and freedom for all. This is nothing more than a front. They’re not. They’re launching open warfare on the Islamic Revolution’s servers for the US State Department, the NSA and the CIA (54). And now, with Sammy Ofer, one half of the Ofer Group, Mossad’s multi-billion dollar asset, ‘passing away of an unknown illness (55),’ or, in this author’s opinion, being assassinated for admitting publicly that his company has carried out missions for the Zionist ‘state’ on previous occasions (56), expect Mossad to increase its criminal activity inside Iran. Possibly more assassinations. Possibly more MEK terror attacks than ever before. Also expect Iran to increase its defenses ten fold.

On June 3rd , the Islamic Republic spent the day mourning (and celebrating) to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini’s passing (57). The revolutionary leader’s accomplishments, courage and piety will stand the test of time as legendary, inspiring Muslims and non-Muslims alike from all different backgrounds, from all over the world. It is fitting to close with the wisdom of the late Ayatollah:

“We Muslims are busy bickering over whether to fold or unfold our hands during prayer, while the enemy is devising ways of cutting them off.” Let this quote serve as an example for all Muslims throughout the globe, specifically those living under the tyranny of occupation. Divisions, ethnic, religious or otherwise, benefit nobody but the oppressors. The ‘great Persian conspiracy’ is a great lie, perpetrated by the world’s imperial and financial powers to split Arabs and Persians apart while their resources are gobbled up by the aforesaid powers and their Islamic culture is butchered. The great Zionist conspiracy however, is exceedingly real and it must be defeated for justice to reign on this planet.

Ayatollah Khomeini feels the same, hence why he once said, “The Zionist regime occupying al-Quds will vanish from the pages of history.” Indeed it will. It is simply a matter of time. And thanks to the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which has inspired the Resistance of Lebanon, Somalia, occupied Kashmir, occupied Palestine and countless other activists, sheikhs, scholars, bloggers, writers, fighters and poets worldwide in the fight against international Zionism, that time appears to be sooner rather than later.

Operation Phantasmagoria III: Juliano Mer-Khamis, Assassinated Hope

Prelude: Part II was a thorough deconstruction of the media lies behind the event now known as the “Jerusalem bus stop bombing,” exposing it as a Mossad false flag attack attached to a greater intelligence agenda. It was also a blood-soaked journey through the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza and the latest aggression inflicted upon its populace by the Zionist entity. Operation Phantasmagoria now moves to the occupied Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin, where a towering figure in the solidarity movement recently met his demise under shadowy circumstances...

Tragedy Rocks Jenin Yet Again

It was a typical Monday morning in the Jenin refugee camp, located in the north of the Zionist-occupied West Bank. Warm weather was accentuated by the breathtaking geographics, the gorgeous Jordan Valley to the east, the stunning Marj Ibn Amr to the north and the beautiful Samarah mountains in the south. But this beauty, is nothing more than a mere veil. The very fabric of Jenin is stained with blood; scarred with agony the likes of which will never be known by the majority of the world’s dwellers.

It is where Israeli occupation forces launched one of its most murderous operations, besieging Jenin for 13 days straight beginning on April 3rd, 2002 with apache helicopters, bulldozers, tanks and other heavy ground artillery. Paramedics, other medical teams and ambulances were prevented by IOF from entering the camp. Water, sewage, electrical and telecommunications infrastructures were destroyed. And hundreds, yes, hundreds of Palestinian men, women and children were savagely massacred, many of whom in their homes as Israeli soldiers told them to stay inside as their families were shelled and machine gunned to death. To this day, corpses of the Jenin massacre are still buried under the rubble of IOF’s rampage. The true death toll will never be known because the Zionist entity’s forces carted many of the innocents that they murdered to other areas of occupied Palestine to cover up the massacre (1).

The arrogance of the usurping regime never ceases to astonish. The memory of the martyred cannot be covered up; the memory isn’t a cracked tile in a royal home, easily covered by silk rugs from faraway colonized lands. The martyred aren’t discardable material manifestations of consumerism, they are eternal representations of a struggle birthed in the doldrums of oppression. The martyred cannot, will not and were not buried by Zionism. Though not physically visible, they roam through Jenin in defiance, inspiring new generations of Resistance.

It is this righteous necessity, this spiritual duty, this indigenous right, this act, to resist in honor of the fallen, that has given the people of Jenin the strength to fight on tragedy after tragedy. Nine years to the day of the beginnings of the Jenin massacre, tragedy would strike the refugee camp once more: brilliant and passionate Palestinian-Israeli director, actor and solidarity activist Juliano Mer-Khamis was shot dead after a masked man fired five bullets into him in front of his wife, Jenny, and their youngest child (2).

Born to an anti-Zionist Israeli Jewish mother and a Palestinian Christian father, the slain director’s life was living, breathing politics; existential struggle. He had served in the Israeli occupation forces, to the dismay and disgust of his father, but when he refused to comply with an order to oppress his father’s family at a checkpoint, he was sent to prison for a year and later dismissed from his “duty.” His upbringing aside, this was the first event to change Juliano’s life. The second, was the horrific mass murder that took place in Jenin at the hands of the Zionist terrorist organization he stopped serving. It was the trauma, the suffering, the humiliation and the depression of the Palestinian children of Jenin that inspired Juliano to found the Freedom Theater, a place where Jenin’s residents could take out their anger and frustration, and express themselves through music, art and poetry (3).

Juliano was a dedicated activist who fully supported the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement against the Zionist entity (4), a fierce critic of Zionism, hasbara and the Jewish extremism that governs Israeli society (5) and an advocate of the One State Solution, effectively ending Zionism and its apartheid system and granting equal rights to all people in historic Palestine (6). He was a voice of reason, a voice of brutal, unadulterated honesty and a voice of Resistance for the Palestinian people.

In what is now a tragedy on a top of a tragedy, Jenny Mer-Khamis will have to continue on through life in occupied Palestine without her husband, and the unborn twins she is carrying will have to continue without their father (7). The citizens of Jenin are also devastated; they are still in a state of shock over the death of their brother and comrade. Days after Juliano was murdered, demonstrations were held in his honor in both Jenin and occupied Haifa, with thousands of attendees chanting, “I will die and Palestine will stay alive (8)!”

Zionist newspapers, typically and disgustingly, blamed Palestinians for the murder though the “investigation” was still under way and as is the case with all instances under Operation Phantasmagoria, no evidence could be found to link Palestinians to the crime (9). All Palestinian factions, whether based in the besieged Gaza Strip or the occupied West Bank, emphatically denied the accusations and condemned the killing of Juliano. Additionally, it is flagrantly asinine to think that Palestinians would take the life of someone whom they loved like family, someone who dedicated his life to Palestinian liberation and bettering, inspiring and empowering Palestinian children (10). Who then, could have taken the life of this beam of light in Palestine? Who then, could have taken him from his wife, children born and yet to be so and the city which loved him dearly?

Shadow War Phase III: Enter The Duvdevan Unit

Quite possibly the most chilling aspect of Juliano Mer-Khamis’s murder, is that in April 2009, he predicted his own death after the Freedom Theater was torched. He was being interviewed by the racist Zionist daily newspaper, Ynet, and was being hammered with typical xenophobic questions regarding his Jewishness posing a threat to his life in occupied Jenin. Undaunted by the tactics, Juliano replied firmly and mockingly, “I have never been as Jewish as I am right now in Jenin. After all this work at the camp, it would be extremely unfortunate to die of a Palestinian bullet (11).”

Question: Did Juliano Mer-Khamis “unfortunately die of a Palestinian bullet?” Answer: Absolutely not. But the assassin and the planners pulling the strings of the assassin certainly intended for it to appear that way.

Jenin is a refugee camp fully controlled by the Zionist occupation and its proxy militias in the collaborationist Palestinian Authority (PA). Its day to day affairs are governed by the Orwellian authoritarianism of “Prime Minister” Salam Fayyad and "President" Mahmoud Abbas, darlings of the West and Zionism’s main men in the occupied West Bank. Extra oppression is provided by the Zionist entity’s occupation forces. Therefore, the occupation government and its puppets bear full, direct responsibility for any crime that takes place within Jenin, as it falls under their dominion (12), especially what takes place within the vicinity of the Freedom Theater considering it is frequented by children.

Secondly, as mentioned previously, all Palestinian factions rejected any involvement in the murder and condemned it for the heinous act that it was. With that reiterated, it came as an astonishment when PA forces detained a man by the name of Mujahed Qaniri as the triggerman. The PA said the ‘former’ Fatah party member was now affiliated with Hamas and other ‘Resistance’ factions in besieged Gaza. Hamas’ spokesman vehemently denied the charge (13). Qaniri himself, whom Hamas says is still active in Fatah and all of Jenin is aware of this fact, has also denied the charges leveled against him by the occupiers’ lapdogs (14).

It has been reported that Qaniri was ‘identified’ by an eyewitness. But if the attacker who shot Juliano to death was masked, it would be totally impossible to attain identification, wouldn’t it? Indeed it would be. There are also conflicting reports as to how many attackers there were: one or two. In reality, despite words of conviction from the Ramallah entity known as the ‘PA’ that it would struggle to find the murderer(s) of Juliano, the killer(s) remain at large because Qaniri has been exonerated after a DNA test solidified his innocence (15). Another crucial piece of evidence that must be noted to provide a full picture of the severe criminality involved in Juliano’s death is this: despite attacks on the Freedom Theater in 2009, there were no threats against Juliano or the Theater since then. Not even a single one (16). No suspects, no leads as to who could’ve pulled the trigger so cleanly and, obviously, no threats against him from the community that cherished him. Is the elephantine blue-and-white six-pointed star in the room starting to become clearer?

Zakaria Zubeidi, close friend of Juliano, co-founder of the Freedom Theater and former al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades commander, believed sincerely that the death of his comrade wasn’t a random act of violence, but the work of ‘professionals.’ Zubeidi didn’t mince his words at Juliano’s funeral when speaking to the press, “The people behind this murder either belong to a powerful organization or a state. This cannot be the work of people who were angry with Juliano or with the theater (17).” Mr. Zubeidi is close. It’s a actually a combination of his observations: a powerful organization within a ‘state.’

The ‘state’ is the usurping entity of Israel, and the powerful organization within it is the IOF, its intelligence unit to be specific. Immediately prior to the assassination of Juliano Mer-Khamis, Israeli intelligence officers invaded occupied Jenin and ransacked the homes of four residents, handing out detention summons to their family members (18). Immediately after the murder, Israeli intelligence officers were back in occupied Jenin to hand out detention orders to three more residents (19).

The lack of security near the Freedom Theater, which the PA has already assessed by reminding all inquirers that there were (conveniently) no threats against Juliano or the Freedom Theater in years, undoubtedly allowed the criminal(s) to commit the act and slip away. With the Israeli army’s ability to move freely in the West Bank due to its tyrannical military occupation and its ‘security coordination’ with the PA serving as insurance, IOF’s presence in Jenin on the day of Juliano’s death is beyond suspicious; it’s damning. This wasn’t an ordinary army brigade, but a special intelligence unit. And considering the Zionist media invoked Juliano’s ‘prognostication’ and reported the murderers to be ‘Palestinians,’ there is only one culprit that fits the description of everything aforementioned: the Mistaravim, an undercover unit of Zionism’s armed militias that has been carrying out operations of assassination, torture, dispossession and ethnic cleansing since al-Nakba. The Mistaravim has been highly efficient because it executes its criminality in Arab costume (20).

The deep (and morally vile) collaboration between the Palestinian Authority’s security forces and the Israeli occupation (21), is the final dagger of truth in the Juliano Mer-Khamis murder investigation, linking Israel to his death and confirming Mistaravim involvement. Though the PA may not have known the ins and outs of the Zionist operation in Jenin on that fateful day, it is not likely. The ‘security coordination’ between IOF and Fatah’s militias go far beyond simple information exchanges. The UK-Israeli-US trained Fatah militias partake in raids against solidarity activists, frequently detain and torture Resistance members and supporters (22) and murder innocent Palestinians, the very same people the PA is supposed to be governing (23). And Fatah’s relationship with the Mistaravim death squad is no different. The undercover IOF brigade operates with Fatah’s full knowledge and cooperation, even in the PA home base of Ramallah (24).

The Mistaravim unit in the occupied West Bank is known as Duvdevan, or Unit 217. It is considered to be the most elite killing machine within IOF and it answers to no superior officer, collecting its own intelligence with full authority from the Prime Minister’s office to carry out everyday hit-and-run operations (25). Duvdevan has been active in the West Bank since the First Intifada, and it has had been particularly barbaric and merciless with the Palestinians of occupied Jenin (26). The military intelligence officers in Jenin that day belonged to Duvdevan. It was Duvdevan that carried out the hit on Juliano Mer-Khamis.

Recap: Duvdevan invaded Jenin to carry out its daily terrorism against the occupied Palestinian population, with the delighted backing of the PA, and in the midst of raiding homes and handing out imprisonment orders, a Duvdevan officer, in classic Mistaravim ‘masked Arab’ clothing, blasted Juliano in front of his family and left him in front of the Freedom Theater murdered before disappearing. The PA locked down the area to finish the establishment of the cover-up and engaged in a farcical man-hunt of Juliano’s killers before it all came crashing down with the innocence of Qaniri, the only suspect brought in.

The PA will never investigate itself, nor will it investigate its Zionist masters. The murderers who planned and executed Juliano’s assassination, i.e. Netanyahu, Barak, IOF Chief of Staff Gantz and Mahmoud Abbas, may remain at large, but their monstrous and subversive behavior is exposed here, and though they most assuredly do not know it, those inspired by Juliano’s righteous commitment to Palestine’s liberation make them pay for their intransigent devilishness with each passing moment.

The Motive: Zionism Benefits

Following the tragic death or Juliano Mer-Khamis, multiple committees of anti-apartheid wall activists through the occupied West Bank issued profound statements, identifying who they (rightfully) believed to be behind the killing, “His death was part of the escalation exercised by the Israeli occupation. We hold the Israeli occupation responsible; it is what permits such horrific acts. The killing of Juliano only serves Israeli interests (27).” The activists could not be more spot on.

The Zionist entity’s Duvdevan Unit assassinated Juliano Mer-Khamis for three reasons, each one embodying the very purpose of Operation Phantasmagoria’s initiation.

Reason Number One: to portray Palestinians as animalistic barbarians who abhor theater and other ‘Western’ expressions of creativity and thought. Despite its laughable and terribly racist premise, it is part of the very real ‘culture of hate’ campaign that Zionism has had in effect against Palestinians and Arabs as a whole since its birth. It is ironic that Zionism itself, a creation of wealthy Ashkenazi ‘Jewish’ men who are descendants of the nomadic Khazars (28) and not the ancient Hebrews as are the Mizrahim (Arab Jews), is a culture of hate. It hates the Mizrahim and cleansed them of their Arab identity by browbeating them through false flag terrorism, racism and over a decade in internment camps (29).  It erodes its Eurocentric origins in exchange for the adoption of Eastern food, language, dance, music, dress and of course, land, through the channels of theft and desecration. And its survival is only guaranteed through the perpetual promotion of Arab hate to its children, which it molds into the next generation of Zionist occupiers (30).

Reason Number Two: to demolish the culture of inspiration, hope and defiance that Juliano built for the children of occupied Jenin. Since the beginning of 2010, the Zionist entity has arrested more than 1,200 Palestinian children and imprisoned at least 760 of them (31). Just days ago, two 15-year old Palestinian boys in a village near occupied Jenin were burned by a white phosphorus canister deliberately left by Israeli forces under the guise of ‘excess training munitions (32).’ Recently, a report revealed the brutal story of a Palestinian boy named Raf’at Bani Odeh, who was illegally imprisoned by IOF, thrown in solitary confinement, tortured repeatedly and on one occasion, his Zionist jailers poured boiling oil all over his body (33). The brutalization of children is Zionism’s specialty. But this brutalization will not break the Freedom Theater’s children and neither will Juliano’s death. The children resemble Jenin itself, “Jenin will stand high and proud forever, it always has been so anyway (34).”

and awakened Israelis
who want a life free
of Zionism.

Reason Number Three: to eradicate the hope that Juliano’s very existence represented. Juliano Mer-Khamis famously said, “I am 100% Palestinian and 100% Jewish (35).” This concept is something that the Zionist entity considers exceedingly dangerous due to it attempting to convince the world it must remain a “Jewish and democratic state.” It is a concept that embodies peace, love, justice, compassion and equality, all of which are qualities that do not exist in the apartheid system that Israel uses to govern its domestic affairs. Juliano physically represented the idea that Arabs and Jews can live together as one, in harmony, in brotherhood, in defiance of Zionism and its mechanisms of injustice, as it once was prior to Israel’s blood-drenched creation. Juliano represented the inevitability of Zionism’s collapse, the inevitability of historic Palestine’s restoration, the inevitability that equality will triumph over supremacy. Juliano’s declaration represented a rejection of Zionism’s racism and xenophobia, and an embrace of humanity, something that the Zionist entity does not want to spread throughout its society.

Juliano represented the future; a future free of occupation, checkpoints, barbed wire, walls, settlements, restrictions and discrimination. Juliano represented Palestine.

Conclusion: Juliano’s Legacy              

It is not a coincidence that one week before the Duvdevan Unit’s assassination of Juliano Mer-Khamis, the much-anticipated, heavily-praised film “Miral” debuted in the United States. Mer-Khamis’s death drew the world’s attention away from this stunning based-on-a-true-story masterpiece about the tragic everyday existence of life under occupation, the horrors that Israeli forces committed during al-Nakba, the triumph over ethnic cleansing and the courage of Hind Husseini, the legendary Palestinian heroine who rescued 55 children from the streets of al-Quds after the ungodly Deir Yassin massacre.

It is a gripping, heartbreaking, heartwarming autobiographical account written by Palestinian author and journalist Rula Jebreal (36), and it was directed, oddly enough, by Julian Schnabel, the son of ardent Zionists but himself a supporter of the One State Solution (37). “Miral” is the last time that the world will ever see Juliano Mer-Khamis on the silver screen. Israel was attempting to drown out the importance of the film’s American release in a monsoon of negativity and controversy, but it has failed in a miserable manner. Juliano’s death has only sent more moviegoers into the heart of “Miral.”

In addition to the brilliance of “Miral,” Juliano has appeared in at least 32 other films and documentaries (38), many of which deal with the Palestinian struggle for unequivocal liberation and the racism within the ethnically cleansed Palestinian establishment now known as ‘Israel.’  His masterpiece, something which he co-wrote, co-directed and also provided the cinematography for, is the award-winning documentary “Arna’s Children,” a genius chronicle documenting the work of his mother, Israeli activist Arna Mer-Khamis, who fought against the Zionist occupation in Jenin by establishing a new education system when IOF shut down the schools.

“Arna’s Children” is also one of the most damning accounts of Zionist crimes against humanity caught on camera (39). It is just as gut-wrenching, inspiring, gorgeous and powerful as “Miral,” if not more so, and also like “Miral,” it will stand the test of time as an eternal work of truth combined with artistry. The fearlessness and rawness of “Arna’s Children” has touched Palestinians and Israelis alike, serving as a painful affirmation of devastated life in Jenin for the former, and serving as a wake-up call for the latter, bringing them back from the proverbial hell of “Zionist thinking” and igniting a fire within them to fight for justice (40).

no longer be on this plane,
but he is still alive
in the hearts of any and
all who resist
the tyranny of Zionism.

The real legacy of Juliano Mer-Khamis however, lies within his actions as a human being. He was a tour-de-force personality who stood up for principles of humanity when many around him had no interest in taking on such a ‘burden.’ He was a man who simply inspired, there is nothing abyssal or intricate about it. And Juliano Mer-Khamis, will forever remain a child of Palestine. Every April 4th, his sacrifice will be commemorated like those who gave their lives before him. His children will hold their heads high as the flight of condors knowing that their father was a freedom fighter. Zionism’s Operation Phantasmagoria may have taken Juliano’s life, but it did not and will not ever take his spirit. Something temporary can never conquer something everlasting. Rest in peace Juliano, you will be terribly missed.
